Ian is also a freelance copy-editor and proofreader – mainly for architectural publications, but also for more general art/history and cultural works as well as specialised technical documentation. His work for established publishers has included architectural monographs, design-student guides, philosophy and science-history manuals, technical papers and archaeology/art history work.

His private/academic editing work has ranged in subject matter from the art of Edward Hopper and Paul Graham, through the princely states of British India, the contemporary literature of Beirut, and a social history of the 19th-century Irish pub to a seasonal recipe book promoting local Welsh sourcing and cuisine for Pembrokeshire’s first Transition Town group, Transition Bro Gwaun, based in Fishguard/Abergwaun in the north of the County.

He also edited and co-wrote e-magazine ARTicle - Cultural Life on the Edge for the ARTists Pembrokeshire group from 2009 until 2011 as well as contributing to architectural journals such as RIBAJ, Architecture Today and Touchstone.

Ian is also available to add polish and professionalism to brochures, websites and any promotional material. With hourly rates of £16 for proofreading, £18 for copy-editing, it's a small investment in making a big impact.
